Direct Entry Midwifery in US States

Aviva Institute prepares students to take the NARM exam through the PEP process, after accreditation is complete, the MEAC route may be open for graduates. Licensure and regulation vary from state to state, be sure to check the MANA site to see the status in your state. Legistation is pending in a number of states, with CPM as the route of entry to practice.

Aviva Institute or no other educational institution licenses or regulates midwives, or give licensing exams, that is usually done though the State Licensing office in applicable states. NARM is the national creditional, and does not require your state offer licensing as part of its process.

We are currently meet or exceed guidelines in these states, AR, AZ, CO, ID, KA, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, NV, NH, NJ, NM, ND, OK, TN. TX, UT, VT, VA, WI. AK, OR, have additional clinical requirements. Other states have additional requirements we will offer, such as a test on the State Law, we are currently working on meeting the requirements for CA, FL, WA, and NY and hope to add them in the near future.
